Terms & Conditions

All functions bookings are subject to terms and conditions to ensure both you and us as your hosts are totally clear on expectations and requirements so we can all enjoy an amazing time together.

Attendee Numbers

Minimum and maximum number of event attendees is required at the time of booking. Final numbers are required in no later than 7 business days prior to the commencement of your event.

Other Bookings

Your area is held for the specified times only. Rizla reserves the right to book other functions in the same area up to 1 hour before your scheduled function commencement time and 1 hour after the scheduled function finishing time.

If your booking is for half of the venue there may or may not be other guests in the venue and we request you respect their enjoyment of the venue as well.

Changes of set up, Day of Event

We understand that in some circumstances last minute changes may need to be made on the day of your event. 

We will be happy to assist you with any changes to your set up, catering or equipment requirements, however this may be at an additional charge if the changes are excessive. In some cases, due to other business activity, we cannot guarantee for these changes to be performed.

Deposit, Payment and Credit Facilities

Non-refundable minimum deposit of $1,000.00 or 50% of the total value, whichever is greater, is due at the time of booking your event. The balance in full is due 7 days prior to your event. 

Cancellation

We would be disappointed if your event was to be cancelled. However, we realise circumstances occasionally make this necessary. All cancellations are required in writing. If the event is cancelled, the following cancellation conditions will apply. Deposit is retained regardless of the circumstances. 

Date of cancellation:

From 3 to 1 weeks prior to the event date

Less than 1 week prior to the event date

Cancellation charge:

25% of the total booking value

50% of the total booking value

Change of Date

We understand that you may need to change the date of your event and we will attempt to fit in any change of date where space is available. This may not always be possible though, and may be dependant on the flexibility of other patrons and functions bookings. 

Food and Beverage

Rizla does not allow food or beverage to be brought onto the premises without prior approval. 

No food or beverage is permitted to leave Rizla, in compliance with our obligations under the Food Act 2001 and the Liquor Act 2010. 

Extended Hours and Surcharges

A 10% surcharge is applicable for events held on Sundays and Public Holidays.

As we are not ordinarily open on Monday evenings we only offer private functions on these nights on a whole-venue, minimum spend basis. 

Insurance

Rizla takes all care with the security and protection of property and guests; however any intentional loss or damage of property  as a result of you or your guests will remain the responsibility of you the client and charges may apply.
